A Studio Designed for Creatives

In 2022, photographer Diego Uchitel and co-founder April Uchitel opened DISH Studios to give LA creatives a space that adapts seamlessly to their vision. Set within a historic 1923 building in DTLA, the 4,000 sq. ft. studio offers a true blank canvas for shoots, events, and exhibitions—blending modern amenities with timeless character.

Built to foster lasting connections within the creative community, the studio was designed with versatility at its core. It’s a space equally suited to photo shoots, content creation, meetings, and art exhibitions.

Easily accessible with five entry points from the 10 freeway, DISH also provides unlimited gated parking for crews and clients. For those seeking more, an expansive rooftop space is available upon request.

What You Need to Know

How do I book?

For DISH Studio, click the “Book Online Now” button on the studio's page to check availability and book instantly. To book DISH Lifestyle, simply click the “Submit Request” button on the Lifestyle Studio page, fill in your project details, and we’ll get right back to you.

Is parking available?

Yes, free on-site parking is available for you and your crew at both locations.

Can I tour before I book?

Absolutely! Contact us to arrange a walk though.

Do you have on-site amenities?

Yes. DISH Studio offers a private, in-studio bathroom, dedicated hair and make-up room, kitchenette, equipment rentals and comfortable lounge area.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

Our studios are available for booking seven days a week. Standard hours are 8AM-8PM, with the option to extend for early morning or late-night shoots upon request.

CAN I BRING MY OWN EQUIPMENT?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own gear. We also offer in-house equipment rentals and full production support if you prefer to travel light.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We understand plans change. Cancellations made 7 business days prior to your booking will receive a full refund.

ARE CLEANING FEES INCLUDED?

A standard cleaning fee is included in your rental. Additional charges may apply for extensive mess, damage, or special events.

CAN I HOST EVENTS AS WELL AS SHOOTS?

Yes, DISH Studio is designed for versatility. From intimate brand activations to large-scale photo or video productions, we’ll work with you to customize the space.

IS FOOD AND DRINK ALLOWED?

Yes, catering and outside food are welcome. DISH Studio includes a kitchenette, and our Lifestyle Studio has ample outdoor dining areas.
